From the 1890s, Edmond Goyard began selling accessories for animals, in particular dogs, cats and monkeys. Le Chic du Chien was born and in the Paris of La Belle Époque, amusing and entertaining adverts declared that “the chicest dogs dress in Goyard”. The name of this pocket refers to the Grey dog, also known as the Gris de Saint Louis, a breed that dates back to medieval times but no longer exists today. The Gris was one of the dogs in France’s royal packs and was introduced by King Saint Louis.
The Os Chien Gris bone-shaped pocket is a tribute to the pocket in our emblematic Saint Louis bag. It echoes its codes and its assembly. It can be attached to the handle of a bag and is perfect for storing accessories for your dog or other small, flat items.
